What to Expect When Selling A House in 2023

Students are ready for the teacher question
The end of 2022 was busy for the real estate world. We’ve seen increases in many areas, especially in the Halifax area. Some may think that selling and buying houses is slowing down with the rising interest rates. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Finding your forever home seems more complicated than average in our market, making it a fantastic time to sell your home! Here’s what you can expect if you list your house in 2023..

The demand is there. You can expect multiple showings planned immediately after your house is listed. If you talk to anyone who’s been trying to buy, they will tell you how competitive this market is.

Multiple Offers

Again, it’s competitive out there. That means some houses are receiving multiple offers, and sellers can receive over the listing price. That being said, wether or not multiple offers will happen with your home depends on how well your home is priced. Regardless, it’s a great time to sell if you want to make as much as possible off your home.

Low Inventory

Inventory has been low for a while. This adds to why the market is so competitive. With so many people moving to the area and not enough houses being built, this will not change much in the future.
With high demand and low inventory, you can expect multiple offers on your home’s sale. Getting your house to sell won’t be an issue. Buying another one, now that’s a different story. In this market, you need a professional and dependable real estate guide to ensure you get the most out of the experience. As always, I’d love to help you along the way!
